8 Years Old

As of yesterday, Orin is now officially 8 years old. He has been looking forward to his birthday for weeks. He got a model rocket kit, a new helmet, a book about Balto, 20 dollars, and new scriptures. We also told him he gets to sign up for baseball on Wednesday. He was a happy camper. He woke up at 5:00 a.m. and tiptoed around the house to find his presents. When I found him at 5:15 a.m., he had a HUGE grin on his face. I love to see him smile. His whole countenance lights up. Because we were up so early, we had plenty of time to make snickerdoodles together. He didn't want to take cupcakes to school to share with his class, just snickerdoodles. Because it was his birthday he got to pick his favorite dinner. Of course I didn't even need to ask. He wanted what we call Chicken and Rice with White Sauce. Yum. We had a great day celebrating Orin.

We love Orin! He is such a big boy now. He is getting more handsome every time I see him! Glad to hear he had a great birthday.

Orin is sure cute! Boy, he better watch out for the girls. If they're not already, they'll sure be after him by the droves. Seeing this picture, I just want to give him lots of "juicy kisses."
