Same-old

It's hard to say what we have been up to lately. Everyday is pretty much the same-old, same-old.

But I have captured a few individual moments from our same-old, same-old life in pictures and thought I might share them with you.

Adia throwing a fit because she is "bored". She doesn't usually like any of the ideas I give her. (clean her room, read a book, do jumping jacks, wash the dishes, fold the laundry, weed the flower beds.) I'm sure you've seen this a time or two at your house. (p.s. this is a fake set-up.)

Tootsie lets us know when she needs to go outside to do her business. Here she is waiting patiently until someone lets her back inside.

The boys have gone out shooting.

Orin turned another year older. Holy smokes! Time flies!

We got to go to McDonalds with Papa and Grammy for breakfast. It's tradition when we hang out with them.

Orin received his "Bear" badge at a pack meeting. (I got a pin too.)

Adia always wants to hang out with friends. I guess I can see why. Free pony rides are hard to beat.

I like to hang out with friends too. Here Jake and I are with some of our friends, the Bartons. They always know how to feed us good!!

We have eaten dinner with the missionaries a few times lately. It's always good to have them come over.

I've always said that I think my kids are really monkeys in disguise. Orin has let the cat out of the bag this time. I now have proof.

Orin has grown up to be just like his dad. He HAS to have his white shirt starched and pressed. Now he can do it himself. Anther interesting fact about Orin; He can NOT put his Sunday shoes on without a shoe horn.

Adia has done lots and lots of baking. She is always making us delicious cupcakes. She is a little pro. She loves to watch the food channel so it doesn't surprise me.
The little kids have driven the little tractor.
The big kid has driven the big tractor.
We had time to go and visit Great Grandma J and take her out to lunch. She is looking GREAT!
I took time to admire the incredible blossoms on this flowering cherry tree at Papa and Grammy's. It was amazing to look at! I LOVE spring!
We had a major change in hair styles. From this....
To this....
My life may be same-old, same-old, but I sure do enjoy myself!

That's a terrific blog. I wonder which side of the family the "monkey" genes come from? What may be same-old, same-old to you is a great story for the rest of us. Your life doesn't look boring to me at all!

Too cute! Sometimes when we get into ruts, we just have to force ourselves to look at our lives and count the many blessings. You sure have a lot of blessings!
