Lots and Lots

There has been lots and lots of things going on around here lately. I thought I would do a very general post so I could include several random things.
We had a great Easter and enjoyed our time together as a family. We giggled a lot, ate a lot, and hunted for Easter eggs. The weather was beautiful too. The kids looked so darling dressed up in their church clothes that I just had to take pictures. I just wish we could have gotten a family picture.

Yesterday Jake took the day off and we worked in the yard. We have big plans for the yard which will take lots of time and money, so we decided we just have to start and do one thing at a time. We started by moving some sprinkler heads. We dug several trenches, and we were up to our knees in dirt. Today our muscles are reminding us of the physical labor we did. After we were finished with our sprinkler work, the kids decided they wanted to get wet in the sprinklers. I thought they were crazy because it was only 75 degrees yesterday. Too cold for sprinklers if you ask me, but being the nice mom that I am, I gave them permission. It didn't take long before they were all huddled together with thier towels to keep them warm. Crazy kids.
Yesterday may have been a beautiful spring day but today is a cold wintery day. The wind came up and blew everything around including our garbage and it decided to actually snow. We can't seem to get much of it in the winter so I guess it has to come during Spring. It actually looked like a blizzard for a while. The kids and Tootsie had fun running around the backyard in the snow.

You have got to be kidding me! If you wouldn't have taken pictures, I'm not sure I would have believed the snow! How fun to have a surprise snow flurry! The boys look so handsome in suits - I wish I could get Jacob in one of those. And Adia looks darling in her Easter dress. And you and Jake don't look so bad yourselves!

If we had taken you up on the dinner invitation, maybe we would have been caught in the snow storm. You know how I hate driving in the snow. You all look so nice in your dress up clothes. You will enjoy the improvements in the yard.

I wish you'd quit sending that snow our way! Can't wait to see what you do with the yard. And, the kids sure look cute in their Easter clothes. But then, I think they look cute in anything 'cause they're my grand kids!
