Our backyard consists of mostly dirt and weeds, a bit of scraggly grass, and a few flowers that I have managed to plant. I feel as though I am always out there working and slaving and nothing really ever changes. (By the way, I hate salt grass!!) Thank goodness Jake had a bit of time yesterday to work on sprinklers. I'm hoping that the fixed sprinklers will help the scraggly grass become luxurious grass. Fixing sprinklers reqired Jake to dig little holes all over. He used shovels and rakes and tarps and a pickaxe. Having tools laying all over really entices kids to cart them off and copy exactly what thier dad does with them. DIG. The kids dug and dug. (almost to China.) What did they end up with? They ended up with a hole. A GIANT hole.

hmmm... kind of...um... GROSS! but very fun! :)
There is something about holes, water, mud, and kids (your kids) that go together. Guess you need to find a spot for them to dig and then plant a tree there. At least you won't have to dig the hole for a tree. You will have more trees in your back yard than anyone in Fallon. Maybe you need to send them to Dallin's house and let them dig rose bush suckers. Must be fun or they wouldn't do it.
What fun! How did your washing machine hold up after all that mud? Maybe you should invest in one of those blow up little pools.
What? You guy dug in the dirt without me? I simply can't believe it! Guy we'll have to Do that again next month... Wink, wink.
We just did the same thing at my in-laws! They never had more fun!!!
Ohhhhh MUD!! I love playing in the mud!!
Big muddy holes are a WHOLE lot cheaper than pools! And funner too! Looks like a lot of fun!
Brings back some memories!! They look like they had a TON of fun. You are such a good mom for letting them do this.
Sounds like dirty fun to me!
I don't think you have to be a kid to enjoy a muddy hole, this weekend I went camping and me and the kids dug big castles and expansive moats filled them with water and I had more fun than they did.
